The Sarbacane group, which specialises in digital communication for businesses, has raised €110 million to become Groupe Positive. This fundraising, announced on Tuesday 8 November 2022, is led by EMZ and banking institutions. Sarbacane's ambition is to become the European leader in its sector.

Groupe Sarbacane is raising €110 million on Tuesday 8 November 2022. The group specialises in digital communication for businesses. Based in the Lille area, it was founded in 2001 to publish business communication software. It is also a player in the e-mailing sector.

Fundraising and change of identity

This funding announcement is accompanied by a new identity. The Sarbacane group will become 'Groupe Positive'. The company plans to open a new chapter in its development by creating a galaxy of solutions focused on digital business communication. The group also plans to position itself as an entrepreneurial platform for digital innovation.

As part of this fundraising, Sarbacane is approaching EMZ and financial institutions. The announcement also includes the acquisition of the marketing company 1BY1. This action allows the group to develop its expertise in the data sector. Indeed, Marketing 1BY1 is specialised in the consolidation of data flows.

30 million euros in turnover

This is the group's third acquisition in two years. With 25,000 customers worldwide, it expects to achieve a turnover of 30 million euros in 2022. The aim is to reach €100 million by 2026.

"Three years ago, we embarked on a new expansion phase by continuing to develop our historical activities, but also by allowing ourselves to make targeted acquisitions to grow faster, broaden our functional coverage and expand internationally," explains Mathieu Tarnus, founder of the Sarbacane group.
