Singapore-based cross-border payment company Thunes completes its offering with the acquisition of European platform Limonetik.
Cross-border payment specialist Thunes today announced the acquisition of Limonetik, a European payment platform. The move will complement Thunes' existing cross-border payment solutions by enabling businesses to get paid in 70 countries, using approximately 285 local payment methods such as mobile wallets, spread payment (BNPL), QR code payments. The solution will be known as Thunes Collections.
Limonetik, founded in 2008, has a platform of alternative payment methods suitable for merchants and marketplaces internationally. Processing approximately €2 billion annually, Limonetik counts 14,000 merchants, marketplaces and fintech players among its customers, including Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Veepee, CMA - CGM, Worldline - Ingenico, ACI, Amadeus and Natixis.

Thunes is also unveiling a new brand identity, including a new logo and website. In May 2021, Thunes announced a $60 million Series B round led by Insight Partners, bringing the company's total capital to $130 million.
